Liquid Off-Take (LOT) LPG System

What is LOT (Liquid Off-Take) LPG System?

The Liquid Off-Take (LOT) LPG System is an advanced alternative to traditional Vapour Off-Take (VOT) systems, offering the benefits of bulk LPG installation while maintaining the ease of cylinder manifold functionality. In the LOT system, liquid LPG is withdrawn directly from the cylinder using specially designed LOT valves, ensuring a steady and high-pressure supply of LPG for commercial and industrial applications.

How Does the LOT System Work?

Unlike conventional VOT cylinders, which release LPG in vapour form, the LOT system utilizes a LOT valve with an HDPE tube running to the bottom of the cylinder. This allows liquid LPG to flow out due to pressure differential. Since the output is in liquid form, a vaporizer is required to convert liquid LPG into vapour before use.

Key Features & Benefits of LOT LPG System

Higher Efficiency & No Residual Loss

  • Unlike VOT systems, the LOT system ensures 100% utilization of LPG, eliminating residual loss.

Compact & Space-Saving

  • Requires significantly less installation space compared to bulk LPG tanks.
  • Multiple cylinders can be connected in a manifold system, allowing a scalable setup.

High Safety Standards

  • LOT cylinders are fitted with Safety Relief Valves (SRV) and Excess Flow Check Valves (EFCV) for added protection.
  • Complies with industry safety norms for commercial and industrial usage.

Cost-Effective Alternative to Bulk LPG Installations

  • Provides the advantages of a bulk installation without the high initial investment.
  • Reduces operational costs by eliminating LPG wastage.

Applications of LOT LPG System

The LOT system is widely used across various industries, including:

  • Hotels & Restaurants – For large-scale cooking & catering services.
  • Industrial & Manufacturing Units – Where continuous and high LPG supply is required.
  • Food Processing & Bakeries – Ensuring consistent fuel supply for production.
  • Automobile & Metal Industries – For heating, welding, and other applications.
